let it snow let it snow let it snow!

it's 9:30 sunday night and they've cancelled school for tomorrow : )

i'm culling through my work emails now--i hadn't checked them since tuesday. i'm happy to report that a few people took the time to actually email us (copying the queen of evil) about how much they liked the conference and how well it went. this pleases me : ) even though people fill out evaluation forms at the end of the day, it's still nice that they send an email and include her on it so she can see first hand what people say.

i brought mexican jumping beans home for the kids--they actually jump. they're really larvae of a moth encapsulated in a pod and when they get warm (under light) they hop around. it's gross if you think about it, but cool too.

we are watching the alamo. movies have changed so much from this genre and though i don't ofen sit down on my own to watch something like this, i can appreciate it. i grew up watching these types of movies, and especially anything w/ john wayne in it.

The newish Alamo? When my highschool kid was in junior high I agreed to go on a field trip to see The Alamo. blech.

I HATE JOHN WAYNE. The way he talks makes me want to stab my ear drums with a straw and suck them out myself.

I always think of Pee Wee Herman at the Alamo whenever anyone brings up that name. And...I had Mexican Jmping Beans when I was a kid--where did you find them? I want some now!
A snow day for the entire state here today--a big blowy blizzard out there. I hope you are able to stay home as well?

hotch--omg--you HATE john wayne??? : ) he he he. ok, i'll still be your friend. i don't LOVE him, but i guess growing up watching him he grew on me. i actually like his voice.

gal--why peewee herman??? there must have been a movie w/ him at the alamo. i found the jumping beans at the san antonio airport : ) i totally stayed home w/ the kids today. please please let them go back to school tomorrow : ) LOL

only--i did enjoy the day, but am ready to go back to work and for the kids to go to school.

tracy--the kids sledded and were in and out all day long. i worked some, did an assload of laundry (and then some more because the kids changed cloths every time they came in) but it was a good day : )

kristin--sweetie, i don't know how you do it. i'm ready for the kids to go back to school after just one day. i'd lose my mind if we lived in maine!

drollgirl--yep, they're pretty weird!

I love when school is cancelled the night before!!! Having to get up in the morning to find out if you have to get up kind of defeats the purpose of not having to get up!
